History

It was a dream of two ambitious old boys from Waverley College that has now seen the formation of the most prestigious social club of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, the Waverley Old Boys Football Club. The founders, Mark Ambour and Michael Kavourakis formed the club back in 2001 with the dream of forming a social club, which has now become one of the most popular social clubs of its kind.

It made sense, let's form a prestigious social club for the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

The Eastern Suburbs of Sydney has not seen a club of this kind grow in stature over such a short period of time. The management of the club since its humble beginnings has seen hard line marketing and efficiencies, which have brought the club where its stands today.

With immediate exposure to over 6,000 people, the club has grown in leaps and bounds over the years.

Heading into its third year, and with 4 teams, we thought it would be appropriate to have a central link for all players, members and friends to be together if they cannot be in person. This site allows us all to be part of something special that is growing from strength to strength, week by week.

Finally, the overwhelming support and sponsorship that the club receives from prestigious local businesses and support networks is phenomenal, and we at the club are firm believers that to be part of this prestigious club is something that comes as a privilege, not a right.

The Founders,

Mark Ambour
Michael Kavourakis
